Penzance Beach

Location:
West Cornwall.
Description:
Penzance is a large seaside town with many facilities. To the north of Penzance harbour is a sandy beach (called Eastern Green) which stretches to Marazion at low tide. To the south west of the harbour there is a pebble & sand beach by the promenade. There is also an outdoor swimming pool by Penzance seafront.

Access:
Access to Penzance Beach is via steps and sloping paths.
Dogs:
Dogs are banned on Penzance beach from 1st July to 31st August (10am to 6pm). Dogs allowed all year at Eastern Green.
Directions:
Penzance is 27 miles from Truro and 14 miles from Helston. From the north east take the A30 and at Hayle follow the directions for Penzance. Shortly after Crowlas there is the Newtown roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout (signposted to Penzance) to stay on the A30 and at the next roundabout take the second left for Penzance (again signposted to Penzance). At the next roundabout take the 1st left for Penzance town centre (the 2nd left follows the A30 around the outskirts of Penzance). In Penzance turn left and follow the road by the harbour and promenade for the various car parks.
