Long Rock Beach

Description:
Long Rock Beach is effectively the middle part of a super sandy beach that stretches from Marazion to Penzance. Parking is right by the beach and there is good walking along the coast path with great scenery.

Access:
At the Long Rock Beach car park there is a slipway to the beach with rocks at the bottom of the slipway making it unsuitable for wheel chair access. There are a number of other access points from the coast path. A few yards west of the car park, there is almost level access to the beach.
Dogs:
Dogs are banned on Long Rock Beach from the level crossing east to Marazion 1st July to 31st August (10am to 6pm). West of the level crossing, dogs are allowed all year.
Directions:
Long Rock village is about 5 miles from Hayle and 11 miles from Helston. Approaching from North Cornwall use the A30 and at Hayle follow the directions to Penzance. Proceed on the A30 and shortly after Crowlas there is a roundabout. Take the third left for Long Rock (signposted to Long Rock). At Long Rock go across the small roundabout, drive through the village then turn left after the used car dealership. Follow this road over the level crossing to the Long Rock Beach car park. Alternatively park at Marazion or Penzance and walk the coast path to Long Rock.
