Plaidy Beach

South East Cornwall.
Plaidy Beach is a small but pleasant grey sand beach with rocks exposed at low tide. There are no facilities or car parking.
No details available. See Beach Safety Guide.
There is a slipway to Plaidy Beach. There is no parking, so park at Millendreath or Looe, but note that the coast path is steep in places, from both directions. Millendreath is closer and the walk from Millendreath to Plaidy takes about 20 minutes.
Dogs allowed all year on Plaidy Beach.
Plaidy Beach is 18 miles from Plymouth. Take the A38 from Plymouth. At Trerulefoot, turn onto the A374 (signposted to Looe). After approximately 1 mile, turn right onto the A387 (again signposted to Looe). At Widegates the A387 becomes the B3253 for Looe. Park at Looe or Millendreath. Millendreath is closer to Plaidy, so parking at Millendreath is a better option. The Millendreath turning is about 1 mile before Looe (and is signposted to Millendreath). The coast path from Millendreath or Looe to Plaidy Beach is steep in places.
