Cornwall Beach Guide

Millendreath Beach

South East Cornwall.
Millendreath Beach is a pleasant sandy beach with rock pools. There is a slipway, but the slipway is private and boats can only be launched with permission. At low tide a much larger sandy beach can be accessed to the east of the breakwater. The facilities have been improved at Millendreath recently and there is now a café and toilets by the sea front.
East of the breakwater there is a risk of being stranded at high tide. See Beach Safety Guide.
There is a short slipway to Millendreath Beach from the road. From the car park there is a short level walk to the beach.
Dogs are banned on Millendreath Beach 1st May to 30th September, 10am to 6pm.
Millendreath is approximately 18 miles from Plymouth. Take the A38 from Plymouth. At Trerulefoot, turn onto the A374 (signposted to Looe). After approximately 1 mile, turn right onto the A387 (again signposted to Looe). At Widegates the A387 becomes the B3253 for Looe. After several miles, look out for a left turning signposted to Millendreath. Follow this road down to Millendreath Beach.
