Housel Bay Beach

Description:
Housel Bay is a small sandy cove which is reached by a 15 minute walk along the coast path from Lizard Point. There is great scenery around Housel Bay and Lizard Point. Facilities and parking are at Lizard village and Lizard Point. Note there is no sand at Housel Bay at low tide.
Safety:
Descent to Housel Bay Beach is steep. There is a risk of getting cut off at high tide. Signs warn of risk of falling rocks from the cliffs. See Beach Safety Guide.
Access:
There are steep steps down to the beach, with final access climbing down over rocks.
Dogs:
Dogs are banned on Housel Bay Beach from 1st July to 31st August (10am to 6pm).
Directions:
Lizard village is aproximately 11 miles from Helston. Approach Helston on the A394 from the east or west. Alternatively drive to Redruth on the A30 and at Redruth take the B3297 to Helston. At Helston follow the A3083 to Lizard. Park in Lizard village or at Lizard Point and walk the coast path to Housel Bay.
