Below the quarry is a disused jetty with a small sandy beach by the jetty, the beach is accessible from a path down from the coast path. Note that there are warning signs prohibiting public access onto the jetty. Further south on the coast path there is a rocky beach with a few patches of grey sand.

Access:
Access is by walking the coast path from the Porthoustock car park, taking about 40 minutes to walk. Note that the coast path is partly on lanes and is steep in places.
Dogs:
Dogs allowed all year.
Directions:
The nearest car park to Dean Quarry is at Porthoustock which is approximately 13 miles from Helston. Approach Helston on the A394 from the east or west. Alternatively drive to Redruth on the A30 and at Redruth take the B3297 to Helston. At Helston follow the A3083 to Lizard. About 2 miles after Helston, just after Culdrose Airfield, turn left onto the B3293 (signposted to St Keverne). Continue on the B3293 for about 8 to 9 miles until St Keverne. Drive through St Keverne and continue on this road for about a mile until Porthoustock. There is a car park on the beach at Porthoustock. From Porthoustock take the coast path south, note that the coast path is on lanes to the hamlet of Rosenithon (follow signs for "Coast Path Inland Route"). At Rosenithon turn left by the letterbox in the wall and follow this lane to reach Godrevy Cove. From Godrevy Cove take the coast path south to Dean Quarry. Note that in 2023, the path from Rosenithon to the coast was closed for repairs due to "surface erosion". Note that at the quarry gate (which can be reached through lanes from St Keverne), there is a public footpath which links up with the coast path, but there is no car parking by the quarry gate.
