Description:Bude is a large seaside resort with an excellent beach called Summerleaze Beach which includes a free tidal swimming pool. At low tide the sand extends north to Crooklets Beach. There are shops and cafe's in Bude and there is pleasant walking along side the Bude canal

Directions:Bude is approximately 17 miles from Camelford and 27 miles from Wadebridge. Take the A39 from Wadebridge or Camelford. Shortly before Bude turn left onto the A3073 (signposted to Bude) and drive into Bude town centre

Parking:1 large car by Summerleaze beach. A 2nd large car park is by the bridge over the Bude canal. There is also a car park by Crooklets beach

Toilets:Yes, at Summerleaze and Crooklets beaches, also at the car park by the bridge over the Bude canal

Facilities:Shops, cafe's in Bude

Activities:Surfing. Surf lessons at Sandymouth with Sandymouth Surf School 07870 472448

Safety:Lifeguards in summer

Dogs:Dogs allowed all year on Summerleaze Beach. Dogs banned on Crooklets beach in the summer
