Pendower Beach

Description:
Pendower Beach is a large sandy beach in Gerrans Bay on the South Cornwall coast. At low tide the beach stretches east to Carne Beach.

Access:
There is a level path from the main car park to the beach. There is a sloping lane and slipway from the cliff car park to the beach.
Dogs:
Dogs are allowed all year but owners are requested to keep dogs on leads between 9am to 6pm, 1st May to 30th September.
Directions:
Pendower Beach is 10 miles from Truro and 12 miles from St Austell. Aproaching from the east or west on the A390 about 4 miles east of Truro turn onto the A3078 for St Mawes. Continue on the A3078 past Tregony and Ruan High Lanes and then turn left for Veryan (signposted to Veryan). At Veryan turn right (signposted to Pendower), then follow this road for about 2 miles and then turn right (signposted to Pendower Beach) and follow this road down to the Pendower Beach car park. Alternatively, continue on the A3078 past the Veryan turning and take the next left (signposted to Pendower Beach) to drive down the western approach to Pendower. There is a very small car park on the cliff top.

1 car park behind Pendower Beach (reached from the Veryan route) and 1 very small car park on the Pendower cliff top (space for about 30 cars). There is also a car park at Carne Beach.
