huge sandy beach popular with families and surfers. Facilities
are close to the beach. There is a slipway down to the beach.
Directions:Approaching from the north east on the A30 at Hayle
follow the directions to Penzance. Shortly after Crowlas take
the first left on a roundabout onto the A394. After about
6 miles on this road turn right to Praa Sands. Alternatively
approach from Helston on the A394
Parking:2 car parks at the western end of the beach. Also
1 very small car park half way down the beach for short stays
Toilets:Yes
Facilities:Beach shops, cafe, restuarant
Activities:Surfing
Safety:Lifeguards on duty. Warning signs. Risk of soft sand
due to shifting sands
Dogs:Dogs are banned on the beach from Easter Day to October
1 (7am to 7pm)
