Large seaside town with many facilities. To the north of the harbour is a sandy beach which stretches to Marazion at low tide. To the south west of the harbour there is a pebble & sand beach by the promenade. There is also an outdoor swimming pool by the seafront |
 Directions:Penzance is 27 miles from Truro and 14 miles from Helston. From the north east take the A30 and at Hayle follow the directions for Penzance. Shortly after Crowlas there is a roundabout. Turn right and at the next roundabout take the second left for Penzance. At the next roundabout take the 1st left for Penzance town centre (the 2nd left follows the A30 around the outskirts of Penzance). In Penzance turn left and follow the road by the harbour and promenade for the various car parks. Alternatively approach Penzance on the A394 from Helston |
