Gwithian
Towans is effectively the middle part of Hayle Sands, a huge sandy
beach which stretches from the Hayle Estuary to Gwithian Towans
and Godrevy Point. Popular with surfers and for families there is
plenty of sand

Point is about 4 miles from Hayle and 20 miles from Truro. Approach
Hayle on the A30 from the east. At the Loggans Moor roundabout take
the far right for Hayle. Shortly after the roundabout there is a
double roundabout. At the 2nd roundabout turn right onto the Gwithian/Portreath
road (B3301). Shortly before Gwithian turn left onto a small road
to Gwithian Towans
Parking:Just after the turning to Gwithian Towans there are two small
car parks. There is a much larger car park at Gwithian Towans

Safety:There are extensive sand dunes but the dunes end abruptly at
30 foot cliffs which are crumbly

are banned on the beach from May 1st to September 30th (8am to 7pm)
