Polurrian Cove Beach

Description:
Polurrian Cove is a large perfect sandy beach but with no parking, facilities or toilets. Park at Mullion Cove or Poldhu Cove and walk the coast path to Polurrian Cove, taking about 20 minutes.
Safety:
Signs warn of strong undercurrents, large breaking waves, submerged rocks, risk of rock falls and also not to use inflatables or kite surf. Lifeguards in summer. See Beach Safety Guide.
Access:
Access is via the coast path which is very steep in places.
Dogs:
Dogs are banned at Polurrian Cove from 1st July to 31st August (10am to 6pm).
Directions:
Polurrian Cove is approximately 8 miles from Helston. Approach Helston on the A394 from the east or west. Alternatively drive to Redruth on the A30 and at Redruth take the B3297 to Helston. At Helston follow the A3083 to Lizard. About 5 miles after Helston turn right onto the B3296 to Mullion (signposted to Mullion and Mullion Cove). At Mullion follow the directions to keep on the B3296 to Mullion Cove. At Mullion Cove walk the coast path north to Polurrian Cove. Alternatively drive through Mullion to Poldhu Cove.

No toilets at Polurrian Cove. There are toilets at Mullion Cove and Poldhu Cove.
