A
pleasant small town with a harbour looking out onto the Carrick
Roads estuary. There are stretches of beach by the seafront, some
rocky, some sandy. There are excellent views and St Mawes Castle
can be visited. There are also ferries to Falmouth

the east or west on the A390 about 4 miles east of Truro turn onto
the A3078 for St Mawes.
